OLD LYME TEAR-DOWN CUSTOM HOME

Old Lyme Tear-Down Custom Home

The original fireplace and chimney were the only original features salvaged when this home was demolished, and the new home was constructed around it. This beautiful 4,044 sq ft New England style, wood shingled home is tucked away at end of a hidden away road in a secluded coastal neighborhood. The rear of the home was designed with large windows and wrap-around Ipe deck to allow an unobstructed view of the birds and wildlife that live in the coastal marsh that separates the property from the Long Island Sound. Every room and detail was planned and customized by the homeowners to suit their busy life and family.  Built for longevity and the coastal climate, the home features Marvin windows, a beautiful custom made mahogany entry door, Boral Tru-Exterior trim and fiber cement siding. Just a few of the interior finishes include cathedral ceilings, heavy millwork throughout, wood paneled walls in the dining room, wainscoting, custom built cabinetry in the gourmet kitchen, wine closet, three-season room with fireplace, and a wood working shop for him, and very special walk-in closet room for her, just to list a few details.
