This project included a total renovation of an 1,800 sq. ft. summer cottage in the seaside community of Old Lyme. This home’s renovation plan was prepared by Point One Architects and Planners in Old Lyme, CT. The home was raised 2 1/2 feet to meet current FEMA guidelines. Every inch of this charming home was carefully redesigned to provide optimum use while keeping the cottage feel - including a very special finished loft as a rainy day space for kids’ activities. This project required adhering to a very strict “hammer law” time schedule in order to complete the project within the allowable work dates as dictated by the association of this very close-knit summer community.
